Construction supervision: seismic retrofit of the Evangelical church, Zagreb

Since February 2026, SLF Projekt d.o.o. has been providing construction supervision and financial control for the seismic retrofit of the Evangelical church at Gundulićeva ulica 28 in Zagreb, an individually protected cultural property damaged in the 2020 earthquake. The supervision covers checking that the works are carried out in accordance with the design, checking the contractor's bill of quantities and interim payment applications, and the duties of health and safety coordinator for the construction stage (koordinator zaštite na radu).

The church was designed by Herman Bollé and built between 1882 and 1884. The retrofit comprises strengthening of the load-bearing masonry and the vaults, steel trusses in the attic and the bell tower, and architectural works that are inseparable from the structural retrofit. In addition to supervising the structure and the construction and finishing works, SLF provides supervising engineers (nadzorni inženjeri) for the electrical and mechanical installations, cooperates with the heritage conservation supervisors and reports regularly to the client.
