Supervision of works and control of construction costs

We carry out construction supervision in accordance with the Building Act (Zakon o gradnji, Official Gazette NN 155/25, Articles 24 and 25). We are present on site while the works we supervise are being carried out, check that they are executed in accordance with the design, review the documentation on the conformity of incorporated construction products and the results of control tests, record our findings in the construction log and inform the client without delay of any defects and irregularities. On completion of the works we prepare the final report of the supervising engineer.

Financial control is contracted at the client's request. We check the quantities of completed work and the interim payment applications against the contract bill of quantities, as well as the final account. For every claim by the contractor for additional works or works not included in the bill of quantities, we give the client a written assessment: whether the work is necessary, whether it is already covered by a contract item, and whether the price in the cost analysis has been calculated in accordance with standard cost norms and the contract conditions.

On buildings involving several types of work, construction supervision is carried out by several supervising engineers of the relevant disciplines, and the client appoints the lead supervising engineer by contract. Supervision of the structure and of construction and finishing works is led by our licensed civil engineers (ovlašteni inženjeri građevinarstva), while supervising engineers for building services and other disciplines are provided through our partners. Since 2012 we have carried out more than 50 construction supervision assignments.
